At the National Basketball Association (NBA), the drama hasn’t skimped on the traditional three-point competition.

Due to the coronavirus situation, six snipers from four NBA teams competed in the shortened competition, who determined the winner in two rounds.

Already in the first round he reached a new record Stephenas Curry, accumulating up to 31 points. It is true that the current competition system (two extra long shots worth three points and five double balls from a selected spot) allows a total of 40 points, which makes this performance difficult to compare with previous records.

From the standard three-point line, S. Curry shot with 80 percent accuracy (20/25) and held onto Craig Hodges’ record hair – the defender even threw 21-point three-point shots twice (on 1986 and 1991), registering the unique series of 19 of precise triples.

The results of the first stage, which was followed by the three best pitchers:

Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics) – 17

Jayson Tatums (Celtics) – 25

Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls) – 22

Mike’as Conley (Jutos „Jazz“) – 26

Donovanas Mitchellas (“Jazz”) – 22

Stephen Curry (San Francisco Golden State Warriors) – 31

J. Tatumas failed to shine in the final, and M. Conley took a serious challenge to one of the league’s most prominent stars. Curry added to the intrigue by missing his first four pitches, but then he kicked it and clinched the victory with the last ball thrown with confidence.

Final results:

J.Tatumas – 17

M. Conley – 27

S. Curry – 28

Following the win, the sniper awarded his victory to Klay Thompson, a teammate who was unable to compete this season.

S. Curry became the champion of this competition for the second time, after the 2015 victory in Brooklyn. Only Larry Bird and C. Hodges have more titles, three each, and Mark Price, Jeff Hornacek, Predrag Stojakovic and Jason Kapono each have two trophies.
