According to the police, around 8 pm, the citizen informed the police that in Ukmergė, Linų str. found a murdered man (born 1973). It turned out that the man was shot, a body with gunshot wounds.
On Friday, Police Commissioner General Renatas Požėla Delfi said that the result is not yet available, the suspect has not been detained.
“Vilnius AVPK is leading this event and searches. I have information that we do not have a result yet. The suspect has not been arrested, there are active search actions, actions to establish the suspect’s identity, but so far we do not have a final result”, R. Požela said.
According to the official, data on the suspect has not been released because there are some doubts. It is said that the public will only be informed when information is available.
I found a friend murdered
The police commissioner said the investigation was hampered by a large number of questions that have yet to be answered. According to R. Požela, the fact that the man’s body was not found immediately after the murder also prevents officials from finding the suspect.
“We just realized that we could not investigate this incident on hot feet, as we received information about this incident about half a day later. This is a heavy burden for us here.
Experts say the incident took place from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the morning. Now it is clear that a firearm was used, and we only joined that night after receiving the information, ”Delfi commented on R. Požėla.
Vilnius police representatives told the press that a friend of the killer may have reported the incident.
The announcer is said to have reported that he was not in contact with his friend and found possible gunshot wounds upon arrival. According to the police, the murderer was found in his home.

It was only after receiving notification of the incident that it was suspected that the gunman might still be hiding in the house. Therefore, the local police surrounded and guarded the house until the fighters of the anti-terrorist operations team “Aras” arrived from Vilnius.
They searched the building but found no armed suspects in it.
Another night from Thursday to Friday, authorities said it was quickly determined who might have killed the man. The suspect has previously had dealings with the police. A major search operation has started: cars stop and search in town, etc.
