Finally, about a minute later, two security guards introduced themselves to the woman. They stood next to the woman for a while, but when she picked up the poster, the security guards grabbed it and tore it up.

The posted video shows an outraged woman yelling something at security guards who ripped open a poster. There are calls in the parish “Get it out!” Then the woman was escorted out of the church and the applause sounded “Bravo!”

During this incident, President G. Nausėda was not bothered and continued with his congratulatory speech. Only the shouts and applause in the parish forced the head of the country to stop for a few seconds.

“Well, let’s appreciate your opinion and move on,” smiled the president.

Tomas Vytautas Raskevičius, representative of the Freedom Party and president of the Seimas Human Rights Committee, reacted to the video that was broadcast on social media.

“The discussion on the Law of Associations also seems to be relevant for Lithuanians in Chicago.

“I am very hopeful that the president will find time on his schedule in the near future and meet with same-sex couples to discuss the need for the Association Law, thereby refuting the statement made on the poster,” he wrote on Facebook.
