T. Orphan in 2020 on August 8 set fire to a mattress in which his girlfriend, sleeping at the time, got drunk with alcohol. Everything happened in the warehouse, where both T. Našlainis and said girl were housed at that time.

According to the file, T. Našlainis intentionally set fire to a mattress on the night of that day, under the influence of alcohol, on which IB, who was heavily intoxicated, slept.

His murderer was sentenced by a court to 14 years in prison. Prior to that, the convicted person had 3 months added for a previously unfulfilled sentence. The girl’s mother turned out to be the victim in this case. The court sentenced the murderer to 1,240 euros in property and 5,000. for moral damage.

The twisted brain

In court, T. Našlainis pleaded guilty. Said he had a drink that night at an unknown warehouse. He had been drinking regularly there for some time. That night I was initially drinking with two friends who left.

Then his girlfriend IB came back and they got together and another friend EC Killer said he was arguing with a friend about something. And then it happened that, according to him, he accidentally set me on fire.

T. Našlainis told me that something had happened to him. He could not explain what “happened” to him. He claimed that his brain had been “twisted” from alcohol.

His girlfriend was sleeping on the mattress at the time. The side of the mattress caught fire, closer to the girl’s head. Then T. Orphan has just escaped from the warehouse, leaving his friend to a grueling death.

T. Našlainis told the court that he was angry with his friend that night, but did not remember why. The EC said he was more angry with his friend that night, and there were even fights between them.

The expelled were huddled everywhere

In giving testimony immediately after the incident, T. Našlainis was much more outspoken than when he was questioned in court later. In court, the killer said the mattress accidentally caught fire, even though he had presented another version before.

Immediately after the incident, he had confessed that he had set the mattress on fire with the lighter he had at the time of his arrest. In the event of a fire, he was still trying to grab the mattress, but he wasn’t, because the flames flashed up in an instant.

It turned out that T. Našlainis himself called an ambulance or a fire station. And then the killer went to his mother to take the money, then he found himself in a bar.

The killer said he heard that IB had a son, even though it was allegedly private. Mr Našlainis stressed that he was very sorry for what he had done.

Orphan said he had a permanent residence. His mother and stepfather live in the house. But when he starts drinking, his mother and stepfather kick him out of the house.

Then he lived somewhere outside during that period, or as it happened this time, it was a warehouse where a devastating fire was caused.

Orphan said he had been drinking alcohol for two weeks before the crime. Although he claimed to have had sexual relations with the murdered girl, he stressed that they did not live together and did not run a joint farm.

The killer admitted in court that when he drinks alcohol he is very nervous. That is when it is very easy to annoy him for the smallest detail.

That night, while she was drinking and lying on the mattress, the girl said something to her in incomprehensible language. Since he understood neither Russian nor Polish, and the words she said were in those languages, he was angry and said that she spoke Lithuanian.

He also said they would set her on fire differently. Then the girl murmured something to him in response, she got very angry and set the mattress on fire.

Buried his daughter

The mother of the murdered girl, who was recognized as a victim, also spoke at the court hearing. He said he only knew the circumstances of the incident from the case file.

The woman confirmed that her daughter liked to drink, ran away from home, did not want to live with her. However, there were no conflicts between her and her daughter.

The daughter lived with her, but she often left the house drunk. Her relationship with her daughter was good, only her daughter didn’t listen to her, she was rarely at home.

When the daughter married, she lived with her husband and gave birth to a son. Later she started drinking, deprived of her maternity rights, divorced her husband.

The woman asked for 1,500 euros in property and 5,000 euros. euro without damage. She claimed that 1,5 thousand. spent at funerals.

The mother revealed that she had last seen her half a year before her daughter died. He communicated with her only when he came to her. The young woman struggled in the unknown for about a year and a half before her death.

Absorbing witness

He spoke in court and drank EB that night. He said he knew T. Nashlain, with whom he lived in the neighborhood.

On the day of the incident, he rode his bike and went to the warehouse where T. Orphan slept with his girlfriend. The witness testified that T. Nashlain asked if he could have a cigarette. Then the girl fell asleep.

The latter answered no. The EC was still sitting, talking to a neighbor, and the latter, he said, began to “psychize”, saying: “You make me nervous, you won’t let me sleep, I’m going to work tomorrow.

T. Orphan then told the sleeping girl that he would set her on fire. According to the witness, the drunk girl started blowing something and T. Našlainis got angry, took a lighter and placed the mattress on the girl’s head.

The witness said that Našlainis answered the question “what are you doing?”, That he “doesn’t care”. Then he added: “I’m not interested, I’ll burn her, she’s bothering me.”
