A tunnel is promised to Tarande next year

LAKD director Remigijus Lipkevičius promises that a tender for the Tarand tunnel construction contractor will be announced this December.

“We plan to sign a contract with the contractor in the first quarter of next year so that it can begin to carry out the work,” the head of management told the Seimas Economic Committee last week.

According to R. Lipkevičius, the Vilnius municipality is asked to speed up the taking of six plots for public needs, which are necessary for the connecting road.

LAKD has committed to building a car tunnel and footbridge within four years.

About 5,000. The Tarandė community, which unites the inhabitants, is calling on the state institutions and municipalities of the city and the Vilnius district to urgently resolve the problem of their communication, which has been aggravated by the construction of the western ring road.
