The disaster report was received on Wednesday at 1:14 p.m. emergency number 112.

The Fire and Rescue Department has reported that a large fire force is currently extinguishing and cooling a burning truck with a tank of gasoline.

It turns out that the situation is really very dangerous. A burning truck with a tank is connected to a fuel column, and three more tanks are connected to it. The column itself, according to fire officials, is connected to an underground fuel tank, posing a high and real risk of a major explosion.

Rescuers are trying to disconnect the other tanks from the column. Gas services also came to the scene.

Currently, car traffic is diverted to another route.

The Alytus PGT fire and rescue corps (7 tanker trucks and autocopters) were dispatched to the scene.
