Rimantė Kraulišė, representative of the Vilnius City District Court, informed BNS that the claim reached the court on November 13, was later clarified and now is the time for the parties to send comments.

“The false denial of the honor and dignity of the person and the suppression of said information from the public sphere, the right to image and the right to respect for private life,” commented the court spokeswoman on the content of the lawsuit .

In a published report, A. Pukelis himself affirms that the statements of S. Malinauskas, who previously worked as a journalist, unreasonably humiliate and blacken him, damage his reputation and hurt his family members.

“Skirmantas Malinauskas, who has been a professional journalist for a long time and has a great understanding of the principles of creating, disseminating and influencing information, manipulating fiction about me for half a year, has created one of the new media channels with greater income in Lithuania, enjoy all the rights and privileges of the media media responsibilities, ”he said.

S. Malinauskas himself said about the intentions to go to court for the speech of A.Pukelis. On Friday, he wrote on his Facebook:

“Well, things are moving forward. The power of attorney has been received, the story will be released next week and we will take legal action. For the first time, I can make it clear that I have full authority to act on behalf of the lead victim. That he is a victim and to what extent will still have to be proven, although the situation is obvious both from the information from the Criminal Police Directorate and from the case data, ”wrote S. Malinauskas.

Tauragė businessman A.Pukelis, who was convicted in the past, was elected LFF vice president last April. His appointment later sparked a debate in the soccer community. He held the position until last week, when he decided not to run for another term.

A. Pukelis remained a member of the LFF Executive Committee and Chairman of the Economic Committee, he also heads the Tauragė County Football Federation.

Until 2017, S. Malinauskas worked as a journalist, then for almost three years he was an advisor to Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis on anti-corruption, relations with parliament and strategic communication.
