A person injured in the Klaipėda medienė accident died in the Kaunas clinics

According to N. Ivanov, the company will reimburse all costs related to treatment and rehabilitation and provide other necessary support to employees affected by the incident.

Company employees have access to a free consultation with a psychologist.

Currently, the hospital cares for 5 employees of the company affected by the disaster – 4 of them in the Kaunas clinics, 1 – in the Klaipeda University Hospital.

The circumstances of the disaster are currently being investigated.

During the incident, two company buildings were affected: the particle board production unit and the air cleaning equipment that served it. Currently, the incident site is fenced off, ensuring the safety of the rest of the company.

Klaipedos Mediena, which manufactures particle board and furniture, has been operating in the port city for more than a century. The company has almost 800 employees. More than 90 percent. The company’s products are exported to the Western European and Scandinavian markets.
