A part of exotic Lithuania: Pakruojis mansion sprouted from ten-year-old palm trees

From now on, you can experience not only the joys of 19th century life in the mansion, enjoy the flower compositions from this year’s flower festival of nearly two million flowers, but also feel like a true exotic resort, where palm trees leaf over your head in the Lithuanian sky. According to Pakruojis Manor Marshal Vadim Ovčinkas, this year for those who could not go to the hot countries, we brought a piece of their mansion to enjoy its shade under the Lithuanian sky.

“Washingtonia filifera / Robusta” and “Arecastrum romanzoffianium” – Latin names for raised palms, for which there is no terrible Lithuanian cold – can withstand a spark of up to 20 degrees, so the mansion is planned to not only be festive decoration, but last longer.

As it is historically known, the rulers of the von der Ropp mansion have always been lovers of the exotic and it was even a matter of prestige to have exotic plants in the mansion, which is why a banana appeared in the palace’s heated greenhouse throughout the year , so the palm trees next to the palace are historically adequate.

The “Midsummer Night’s Dream 2020” flower festival at Pakruojis Manor will take place every day and on weekends until fall.
