The widely unknown “Lithuania – for everyone” party, led by businessman, former basketball coach and Alytus Council member Tomas Pačės signed up to participate in the Seimas elections in October.
According to the 15min.lt news portal, a new party was not founded, and “Lithuania – for everyone” appeared after the Emigrant Party changed its name.
If he will participate in the elections and, if so, with whom, T. Pačės has not yet disclosed, he promises to provide information later.
According to data published by the Ministry of Justice in April, “Lithuania – for everyone” has 4404 members. According to their numbers, the political force led by T. Pačės outperforms not only the Union of Peasants and Greens of Lithuania (4,295 members) or another ruling party of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (3,297 members), but also many other parties.
According to data from the Records Center, Laura Radzevičiūtė, a former comrade of the Lithuanian Center Party Chairman, Naglis Puteikis, who, like T. Pačės, has been elected to the Alytus City Council, is also a member of the Lithuanian Council.
Juozas Murauskas, who founded the Emigrant Party eight years ago and was the president of this political force for eight years, also remained in the party.
According to the portal, in 2015 the Central Electoral Commission removed it from the municipal election lists for covert convictions. After this decision, the Emigrant Party, which raised the only list of candidates in Kaunas, decided to withdraw from the elections. The party did not participate in the 2019 municipal elections.
