On Thursday, the adviser to President Povilas Mačiulis thanked the protesters gathered in the Presidency for their activity and expressed concern about the lack of a constitutional law on the Referendum, saying that the opinion of the citizens should be sought.

You have shown that Lithuanians are an active nation, you have shown that you can defend your opinion and your beliefs by showing it, listening to that position of the government, which you do not support, do not shut up, speak and say. “There are many opinions of politicians and government officials that it is not necessary to ask for the opinion of the public. Ask for an opinion, it is necessary. Either through a referendum or polls, “said the politician.
Mr Mačiulis emphasized that divergent views were not to be feared. These words were accompanied by cries of support.
