According to the data of the investigation, the members of the group of accomplices who visited our country in October last year committed 5 robberies in residential premises in various parts of Lithuania, reports the prosecution.
People living in Anykščiai District, Utena, Kazlų Rūda Municipality, Ukmergė and Prienai District are suspected of being affected by this group.
The amounts of money possibly stolen from accomplices of people ranged from 180 to 10,000. In total, they stole foreign properties for more than 28 thousand. euros.
According to the investigation, Ukrainian citizens also tried to rob a woman living in the Vilnius district, but left the house without finding valuable items.
Members of the accomplice group are suspected of traveling through Lithuania in a car driven by a man.
The women are believed to have entered residents’ homes asking them to drink water, offering to buy the goods they brought. While some were communicating with the hosts and getting their attention, others were searching for money and other valuables at the time.
According to the investigation, after robbing the hosts, they quickly left the house and left, sitting in the car waiting for them.
Members of the complicit group were arrested by police officers on October 28 last year. In Vilnius, in his rented apartment.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by officials from the Vilnius County Police Commissariat Criminal Police Property Crimes Board, and the investigation was organized and led by the Vilnius District Prosecutor’s Office Prosecutor.
Five defendants are awaiting arrest and one woman has been granted a more lenient measure of pretrial detention without custody.
The criminal case was transferred to the Prienai Chamber of the Alytus District Court.
