The doctor fought the disease at the Republican Hospital in Klaipeda, where he worked for more than 35 years. After leaving this hospital five years ago and taking a well-earned rest, he returned as a patient, but for a short time.

On Monday morning, the Republican Panevėžys Hospital announced that Birutė Malinauskaitė, a 49-year-old general practice nurse in the Department of Urology, had died of COVID-19.

Pakruojis Hospital also reported the loss. On January 17, as it is written, Dr. Juozas Vyšniauskas also died after a treacherous illness.
