There are no plans to vaccinate children in Lithuania in the near future, so traveling with them remains very risky. Although there has been evidence in the past that children are less likely to become infected with the coronavirus and get sick more easily, this claim is not yet fully substantiated.

Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Pediatric Center, Clinicas Santara, dr. Inga Ivaškevičienė, who works with children with COVID-19, says she can only confirm that infected minors in her clinic generally have a mild to moderate form. When asked what to do for parents who want to travel before their children have been vaccinated, the doctor advises waiting, because the pandemic situation in Lithuania remains bad. The pediatrician says he understands that people are emotionally exhausted, but also does not hide that questions about trips to the doctor are the least annoying for the little ones.
