Scenes – on the move

According to the mayor Vytautas Grubliauskas, the flows will have to adjust to the new reality. “We must not forget that this year is exceptional. I look closely at the organizers, a lot of responsibility falls on them. This year will be memorable, we will have something to remember,” said the city manager.

There will be no fireworks, mass events, or marches this year.

The events will invite guests to artist performances in incredible venues. It will take only 15 minutes. Numerous teams of artists joined the campaign. When the presentations are made, they will not be announced, only the places will be made public. “It is a matter of happiness whether you go to the concert or not,” said one of the festival’s organizers, Dalia Grikšaitė.

It is already known that Vidas Bareikis, Radistas, Sauliai Petreikis, “Baltas varnas”, “The Roop” will be seen at the festival.

The motto of this year’s Festival of the Sea is “Encounter in the wind”. The motto of the holidays is to go, swim, walk. The festivities will be mobile, some of the scenes will move from one place to another.

Accent – ships

This year, there will be no traditional celebration process, uniting not only the maritime community. However, there will be a ceremony honoring sailors at the Albatros Monument, the tenth race of dragons on the Dane River. According to Algis Latakas, head of the port authority, up to 36 teams will participate in the race this year.

The Klaipeda Port Authority also contributes to the preparation of the Radio Concert and the Night of the Sound Sky.

The Maritime Museum this year houses a traditional Sky Sky fleet with historic ships. “This event is not massive, it does not break a big meeting in one place, people can go and watch all day. We are pleased that this year this event is one of the best moments, “said Romualdas Adomavičius, Deputy Director of the Museum. There will be about 15 ships in the fleet.

The emphasis of the celebration, the crown-laying ceremony in the Baltic countries for deceased sailors, was also not abandoned.
