The first case of coronavirus was registered in the “Rytas” team from Vilnius. After a player from the capital club experienced symptoms and performed a COVID-19 test, a positive response was obtained, according to a press release.
The infected person is not named publicly.
Due to this situation, Saturday’s Betsafe-LKL Rytas match with Klaipėda Neptūnas is postponed.
On Wednesday, Rytas announced an infection in the backup ranks: one case each was detected in the Vilnius Perlo Energija team competing and the Ryto-MRU-VKM team played by RKL.
