The sisters of a Brazilian-born basketball player represented the country’s national team, and after moving to Europe, he also acquired Spanish citizenship. He spent his entire career in clubs in these two countries, winning silver in the American Championship in 2011 with the Brazilian team.
The defender also has experience in the Euroleague: he has played 50 games with Unicaja de Málaga and Baskonia de Vitoria in this tournament, the last time he competed here in 2017.
Luz began this season with the UCAM team in Murcia and in the strongest Spanish league she accumulated 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 1.8 utility points in 9 minutes.
The gap in the defense of Kėdainiai’s team was opened after the departure of Vaidas Kariniauskas, and Jokūbas Gintvainis, who complemented the club, could not cover it. Nevėžis-Optibet (15/6) is ninth in the Lithuanian Basketball League (Betsafe-LKL).
