“The festival brought together florists and artists from all over Lithuania, because it is a great space for self-expression and self-expression,” adds Vadim Ovčinko.
One of the artists who created compositions in the mansion, artist Evaldas Jasiūnas, admits that he generally creates indoors, but this year he decided to test himself by creating art from flowers, where challenges are not lacking. According to him, “it is important to harmonize not only the colors, but also the plants, and the latter must coincide with the sculpture so that they are not like two different components, but it seems that this has always been the case.” “Of course, it is also necessary to keep in mind that everything should be as resistant as possible to the elements of nature: wind, rain, sun,” shares the artist’s ideas.
The festival invites visitors to admire not only the flowers, but also the captivating and unprecedented performances of the actors, which this year are led by the famous Spanish director of circus and contemporary theater, creator Adrian Schvarzstein. Along with a large group of theater actors from Šiauliai and Panevėžys, he surprises the audience with unexpected acting episodes and performances of excerpts from the works of V. Shakespeare. According to the director, “We do not play Shakespeare, we are inspired by Shakespeare and his work. Based on this inspiration, we take small studies of V. Shakespeare’s works and apply them to the festival, its essence. The historical setting of the mansion and a Lithuania’s great summer also inspire you to work here. ”
The “Midsummer Night’s Dream 2020” flower festival at Pakruojis Manor will take place every day, all summer until the first frosts of fall.
