According to him, the Inspection itself, being an expert institution, cannot take any action in this situation.

The Vilnius Regional Court ordered the Šalčininkai District Municipal Administration to remove bilingual tables from residents’ homes, and fines were repeatedly imposed on the Director of Municipal Administration for non-compliance.
After many years of litigation and fines for illegal Polish street names, it was agreed that after placing the columns with Lithuanian inscriptions on the streets, the central government would no longer require the display of bilingual street signs.
Courts also ruled on the issue of bilingual signs in the capital, but here it was stated that Vilnius street signs in foreign languages do not violate the law as they are decorative signs and are not official inscriptions of the names of the streets.
