A 47-year-old man was arrested by French police during an investigation into a terrorist attack in Nice

According to the information received, the man was arrested on Thursday night. He is suspected of interacting with a terrorist the day before the attack on the believers at the Basilica of Our Lady. No further information is provided about the detainee.

October 29, a man armed with a knife attacked believers in the Basilica of Our Lady in central Nice. Three people died in the incident and the attacker was arrested. The French National Antiterrorist Prosecutor’s Office joined the investigation.

According to Éricas Ciotti, a member of the National Assembly, the terrorist attack was perpetrated by a Tunisian recently arrived in France from Lampedusa.

Two hours after the attack in Nice, another villain on the streets of Avignon began threatening passersby with a knife and was shot while trying to attack police officers. Furthermore, a local resident attacked a security guard at the French consulate with a knife on the same day in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and police detained the attacker at the crime scene.
