Strawberry season is coming to an end. Therefore, it can be said that the last berries are collected on strawberries. And if you arrive yourself and pick strawberries on your own, one kilogram will cost 50 euro cents.
Strawberries are not kept to a minimum as they have begun to rot due to heavy rains, so farmers fear the harvest may simply have to be discarded.
So invite people to come to the strawberry and dress for the minimum price, as much as the heart desires.

“Nature has dictated, many berries have matured and we can see that they will die. If we do not carry out such a campaign, we do not collect it on time, it is like a semi-charity,” says farmer Vladas Guzelis.
The farmer, who grows red bushes on ten hectares of land, says that due to this year’s abundant strawberry harvest, he divides them into poorer families and children.
And there is no shortage of berries on the strawberry for those who want to collect half a euro. Most of the day, one after the other, people flow into the fields and bend down to pick the berries. It is true, generally in the middle of the season, a kilogram of self-tracking strawberries costs around a euro:
“It just came to our attention then. She is super super good. It even looks like it could be 80 cents. When you think about it, the costs for people are still high.”
“We have enough life, big family, we eat a lot. We eat our own fresh and take care of it. Just as we are aware of the situation that there is simply no one to get that harvest, it is not even a matter here.”
Who has enough ten pounds and who is willing to use a hundred. After picking the berries, the strawberries go to the weigh station, where the number of kilograms collected is counted.
And let’s move from the strawberry to a Vilnius market, where the berries have already been collected and all that remains is to buy them. Lithuanian strawberries cost more than three euros here.
“For the fresh harvest, I will now sell these little ones for 3.20 euros each. If they are very big, but today I don’t have, like this, yesterday’s harvest, they are 3.50 “, says strawberry grower Loreta Vytienė.
At the end of the strawberry season, a common compatriot says that these berries have already been eaten and are now switching to forest berries, that is, strawberries, blueberries:
“We really ate.”
“I bought it once, but I don’t want it anymore. I don’t want it at all. In the past, they smelled. When you start selling strawberries, you go to the market, it’s mmmm. And now there is no smell.”
“It just came to our attention then. Without jams, we didn’t produce anything, but we had to eat it for ourselves and still have it.”
“We still eat, I buy a kilogram for my family every day.”
Nutritionists warn against strawberries, as with other berries, not to bend the stick, because when they multiply, allergies can start. It is recommended to eat no more than four hundred grams per day.
