A cyclist was fatally beaten on the outskirts of Trakai on the way to Rūdiškės. The driver of the Opel Astra, who hit the rider, was sober.
The accident occurred at the point where the bicycle and the pedestrian path cross the road. The city bike path runs on the left side of the road, and at the accident site it crosses the road and continues on the other side.

Initially it was thought that the deceased was about 30 years old, but soon the cyclist could be identified, it turned out that the 52-year-old man was killed.
After a hard hit, the rider and his bike found themselves in a ditch. The summoned doctors tried to revive the man without any sign of life, but soon found him dead.
According to relatives, the deceased returned home by bicycle after work. According to them, he was probably sober. The opel driver was also sober. You probably only saw the rider after the accident. The driver assumed that the cyclist suddenly hit the road, probably not even seeing if the man was on the bike or married him.
