“Currently, the bank’s branches in Vilnius are located in five different buildings, and this is not efficient. By moving to an office center, we will be able to work and cooperate more efficiently, create a much better working environment for our employees and Innovative Customer Service Spaces, ”said Aivaras Čičelis, Vice President of SEB Bank, Commercial Support Service and Chief Financial Officer.
Until the end of summer, the bank’s modern customer consulting centers, innovation centers and other branches will open their doors here. Much of the new building, which connects Upės Street and Konstitucijos Avenue, has been designed and built to be open to the public.
“SEB’s new headquarters forms a kind of new pedestrian street in Vilnius, connecting Upės Street with Konstitucijos Avenue, which can be used by all Vilnius residents – just stop by, visit the restaurant located here for lunch, have a cup of coffee, enjoy the green spaces of the building. More than a fifth of the building is completely open to the public, “says A. Čičelis.
The building has been designed, constructed and will be operated to meet the highest BREEAM “Outstanding” international construction standard. A solar power plant is installed on the roof of one of the buildings, the energy of which is used for engineering systems.
The building is equipped with a ventilation system consisting of many small ventilation systems that are controlled according to the number of people on the premises. There is also a modern air and water heating and cooling system, which allows the building to be heated without the use of district heating networks during the transition period, when the outside temperature is -5 to +15 degrees, and to extract heat from the outside air and therefore use much less energy.
Furthermore, it is equipped with biodynamically efficient lighting that adapts to human biological rhythms and corresponds to the cycle of natural light as if it were outdoors.
The office complex was developed by Lords LB Special Fund II, managed by investment management company Lords LB Asset Management. The amount of the investment is not disclosed.
