Abundant not only mushrooms but also mushrooms
Aistė, a member of the group that visited the forests of Padauguva in the Kaunas district, assures that she mushroomed for almost 4 hours and collected many boletus. According to her, in this forest she found fungi of various sizes, the largest were stunted more frequently and the smallest were healthy.
“It just came to our attention then. There are certainly a lot of boletus and also mushrooms. We went with a family member and I think we will definitely grow again quickly,” he says.
The peak is said to be in a couple of days.
Kristina Sriubikienė, who was planting in the Panevėžys Green Forest, stated that yesterday she collected mushrooms for about 3 hours and brought home even two large mushroom baskets. The interlocutor declares that they were not counted, but the actual ticket was approximately 250/300 units.
“I found a few more red-haired squirrels, a couple of edible squirrels, a few Lepidoptera, and a lot of Šiliniai goats, but I didn’t pick them up. The fungi are young, just bigger each other, and little boletus just at the start of germination and germinate in families and in stacks of 20/30 units in one place. Some are still too small for collection, so they are allowed to grow. I think the boletus beak will be in a couple of days when all the little ones grow a little. they are very worms (fungal mosquito larvae), only about 50 percent of all fungi found can be collected and taken home, ”says K. Sriubikienė.
Start visiting the forest when the first photos appear
According to her, she monitors the proliferation time herself, after heavy rains she begins to visit the forest and observe. According to her, a group of mushrooms also helps when the first photos appear, then begins to visit the forest with greater intensity. K. Sriubikienė explains that he was going to mushrooms at this time, because he knew from experience that there should be mushrooms: wet, warm and the group of mushrooms is full of photos, which is a sign that the mushrooms “come” to all the forests .
“I do not remember the year in which the mushrooms sprouted so intensely at that time (the first fortnight of July) and it was the true boletus that sprouted in flocks and the mushrooms threw them in hundreds. And they germinate in firs, meadows, mixed forests and forest roads, so such abundance and germination is very surprising. I didn’t notice the mushrooms, just the berries, but in the places I visit, there are rarely mushrooms with all the mushrooms, “she says.
Ask to behave responsibly in the forest
The interviewee assures that mushrooms really promise, goes hand in hand with work and goes to pick up these goodies from 5 in the morning before work or from 5 p.m. Until 9 PM. According to her, the fungus is a disease, it distributes mushrooms to neighbors, friends and family, because it does not need half of what it collects. K. Sriubikienė says that she never sells mushrooms, because it has been a hobby and free time for her for 30 years, with which she does not earn money.
“As a fungus and nature lover, I would recommend behaving responsibly in the forest, not ripping the forest floor, not ripping moss and jams for mushrooms, not collecting microscopic-sized mushrooms, plucking them from all lands. The forest is full of goodies and yes, collecting barely visible mushrooms is pointless. Additionally, mushroom pickers should not destroy the forest by kicking uncollected mushrooms, littering, breaking trees, or injuring forest dwellers like snakes or other reptiles they fear, but should not be afraid. So if you want to grow, you must act as a guest in the forest, not as horrors in search of benefits, ”he says.
Boletus are collected under young spruces.
Another Darius Stonys, who shared photos of his capture, says he visited the Rakava forest in the Raseiniai district, where he mainly collected boletus, but believes that oregano also occurred. According to him, generally all mushrooms are the size of a twig. According to the interlocutor, as soon as the mushrooms started, the results were worrisome, but as far as possible, the mushrooms are becoming healthier and now only one is worrisome.
“From an early age I got used to mushrooms, because my parents were mushrooms, I remember that I still rode a bicycle. This year’s harvest was very surprising with the number of boletus and the germination time. It started very late last year. When I return to my places, it is very rare that I find lost and wrong people.
I say with confidence that I will go to collect mushrooms. I check my places every 3 days. I would advise people not to ask where mushrooms, where to look, but just go and look. And anyway, I collect boletus under the young Christmas trees, ”he says.
It was empty at that time last year
Natalia, one of the members of the mushroom group, says that the mushroom proliferation appeared in her life at the age of 6-7 years, when her mother first took her to the forest and presented her with mushrooms, so they left. to proliferate with their mothers and sisters every year. According to the interlocutor, their largest mushroom catches are in the Ukmergė district. In the Viliai forest.
“I’ve been proliferating there for about 12 years, but it’s a shame the forest is changing, a lot of mushroom spots are being cut. I started this year’s boletus season starting July 12, there are plenty of them and they’re just sprouting, I drove a few days in a row and will bring 200 pieces in 2 hours. I agree with the mushrooms, there really are many, there are many cars on the sidewalks.
Last year, at the same time, it was empty, only in September I opened the season. And this year is pampering. I brought 909 boletus in 4 days. I found some oregano, they are still starting to sprout. Mushrooms are worms, but if it doesn’t rain, they will be more worms, ”he predicts.
Mushroom harvest in different parts of Lithuania
Many other mushrooms also boasted of goodies brought from the forest. Some wrote that they found 107 boletus in less than an hour on the way to work, others could not believe that more than a thousand boletus were collected in Samogitia in just 4 hours.
“For the first time in my life, I encountered so many boletus! 53 pieces In the Panevėžys district. Only the monster was found in the forest: the snake, even two, when it was gone! Oh, I ran! Another mushroom writes about the dangers lurking in the forest.
Many people enjoy very healthy and clean mushrooms that have almost no worms. The mushrooms of the Šiauliai district boasted of having found 204 boletus and 8 oregano. In the Kupiškis district, the catch collected in 2.5 hours amounted to 540 boletus. About 230 beauties were trapped in the wolf, among them very few were worn. 293 Boletus mushrooms were collected in two in the Leliūnai forests of the Anykščiai district in 3 hours.
“It just came to our attention then. 231 boletus. Anyksciai d. Janušava-Dabužiai forests. There could have been more, but I had to share it with other mushrooms,” writes another mushroom.
The abundance of mushrooms is not surprising.
Jurga Motiejūnaitė, head of the Mycology Laboratory of the Nature Research Center, explains that it is not surprising that the mushroom harvest is more abundant this year. According to the specialist, last year was much drier, and this year much rainier, and fungi like rain, each fungus can say. She says the proliferation period will depend only on the weather.
“It all depends on the amount of rain, the air temperature. If it is very hot, the fungi can fall, if you keep the heat and the average temperature, there can be a lot of them. It is not necessarily the same everywhere in Lithuania” , she says.
How to behave when proliferating?
The interlocutor ensures that if you decide to mushrooms, you should not dig in the forest, who does not know, take into account where you are going, if you have a smartphone, pay to use your map. According to her, if a person is afraid of ticks, immediately after returning from the forest to take a shower and change clothes.
“If you don’t want to poison yourself, collect only the mushrooms you know well. Wolves and lynxes, and any other large forest fauna in Lithuania, do not pose a danger to humans, despite the very scary stories on the Internet. They just don’t. you see when you see it.
The fungus worm is determined by the abundance of fungal tail populations and the appropriate climatic conditions for them. “Entomologists studying fungal tails could tell this in detail,” she says.
