Proposed innovation

Last year, a reconstructed historic triangular plaza was opened in Butrimonys. The highlight of the renovated plaza is the fountain. It is the only one in Lithuania: acrylic in the shape of a flask, with a huge vortex of water inside. Water flows through the wall of the fountain, creating a unique view.

This year, entrepreneurs opened an outdoor cafe near the local fountain, as well as renovated shops where you can sample local centipedes, branches, homemade cheeses, cool down with ice cream or warm up with tea, a cup of coffee, buy souvenirs, according to the municipal report.

The historic triangular square of Butrimonys, whose prehistory dates back to the times of Vitautas the Great, was also renovated in the 14th-15th centuries. Union.

The square is equipped with four functional zones: events, active for children and adults, greenery, surrounded by recreation and the central part of the square, where the only glass fountain in Lithuania is located.

Benches have been built in the plaza, children’s playgrounds, swings, outdoor musical instruments, new and renovated old trails, which are also adapted for the disabled, a bicycle stand, an information and lighting stand. The area is monitored by 11 video cameras.
