An interactive fountain, one of the most modern fountains in Lithuania, is installed in the Laisv alley, its builders say. At the beginning of the reconstruction, some Kaunas residents resented that the demolition of the fountain would not preserve its authenticity. However, after all the repairs, the innovations presented to Kaunas residents on Thursday night shattered all skepticism. The reconstruction of the fountain preserved its authenticity and at the same time integrated a series of innovations.
The old “bubbles” became new. They continue decorating the fountain and raising nostalgia and feelings for the Kaunas residents who have found themselves here. At the same time, a wide variety of modern jets have been added that are interactive and capable of cutting water jets in every way.
The fountain has been rebuilt, maintaining the old architecture, but replacing the new finishing openings and installing new automated technological equipment.
Equipped with multi-colored lighting, which will light up at dusk or when ordering a piece of music. A musical sound system is also installed. The source is capable of receiving short SMS messages and playing the desired music tracks. This service is not yet operational, but it will be possible to do so before the beginning of the summer. The price of ordering a piece of music has yet to be confirmed, but it is estimated that ordering a song could cost around 2-3 euros.
The new fountain is capable of lifting water to a height of 9 meters and spraying more than 600 cubic meters of water per hour.
Another uniqueness is that it is the only font in Lithuania with an installed “fog” system designed not only for exceptional printing, but also on hot summer days. The rising haze will cool passersby, and sometimes it can even smell
Until the music ordering system is connected, the source will operate in normal mode and will play one track every hour.
