“These cases are related to a family outbreak, which was previously reported by colleagues: a husband and a wife became ill, and then the wife’s colleague. Now three more people. (…) A total of six people became ill in this company, ”said R. Lingienė.

According to the NVSC, the case has been included in the general statistics of infected people in this company and was confirmed on Wednesday; It will be included in the general statistics of infected people in the country by publishing the latest data on Thursday.

According to R. Lingienė, eight people had contact with sick people at work and ten in the social environment.

“Two other new cases are the relatives of these infected people,” said an NVSC spokeswoman.

One of the infected relatives is a security guard at the Maxima warehouse in Vilnius. The case was reported by the retail chain itself on Tuesday.

NVSC is investigating the version that this fireplace may be related to a transport company in Nemenčinė, where people from Belarus arrive.

According to R. Lingienė, two more cases are imported from the Czech Republic. An Franciscan brother living in the Monastery of the Revelation of the Lord in Kretinga and a parishioner who had gone abroad on vacation were diagnosed with an infectious disease.

“Colleagues also reported on these cases on Tuesday. A total of 11 people who have been in contact have been identified so far,” he said.

According to Wednesday’s data, a total of 1,854 people have been infected with the coronavirus, 212 people are still sick and 1,552 have recovered.

Since COVID-19, 79 people have died and 11 others have died from other causes.
