According to President Antanas Bubnelis’s spokesman, the possibility of faster growth of pensions and their indexation in 2021 will be discussed.
“The availability of social services for older people and the issue of a successful aging policy in the country will also be discussed,” Bubnel told BNS.
Old-age pensions have been automatically indexed since 2017; they depend on the growth of the economy and the wage fund.
In early May, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis mentioned that in 2021, pensions should increase by 7-8 percent.
