The Minister of Transport and Communications, Jaroslav Narkevičius, dismisses V. Andrejev, but gives him a salary for his service until the fall. In addition, two-month severance pay is paid.
This is stated in the Minister’s order, which V. Andrejev received on Friday afternoon.
Exemption order
Andrejev already had an order at a press conference, which he says goodbye upon removal from office.
“With this order, the decision made by the Minister is to advance the dismissal. This will be the actual dismissal on August 31, but from July 3 I will not continue in office,” V. Andrejev told reporters on Friday.
One of the circumstances of the dismissal was the transformation of the Highway Administration into a state company. On that basis, he was fired.
“I must comply with the order until the court decides otherwise. I will challenge the order in court, “he said.
The minister asked V. Andreev not to make decisions and not to go to work until August 31. Then it is intended to convert the institution into a state company.
How do you assess the situation when you are fired but your salary will still be paid?
“A person who works creates more value than a person who does not work,” he said.
We remind you that the head of the Directorate of Highways J.Narkevičius was unpleasant in revealing the facts that, by order of the Minister, the financing of some roads in the Trakai district and Vilnius was intended to violate government regulations. Therefore, the Directorate refused to approve these projects.
Transport and Communications Minister J.Narkevičius said on Friday that V. Andrejev is fired in accordance with applicable laws.
