Under EU law, passengers have the right to choose whether to recover money or receive compensation in other ways, such as checks.
According to the EC, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, France and Slovakia have two months to respond and take steps to remedy the deficiencies; otherwise, the EC may decide to send them a reasoned opinion.
