A Russian citizen who came from Tallinn with a residence permit in Estonia raised suspicions during an inspection at the border checkpoint (BIP). The man was told to wait for the border guards to explain.
It turned out that this person’s search for Interpol economic crimes had been announced by Russia.
However, the foreigner did not wait for the results of the inspection: he left the airport and disappeared, leaving his documents with the border guards.
The SBGS will initiate an official inspection for the performance of negligent duties by officials working at the BCP: the person who caused the suspicion had to be monitored, should not have had the opportunity to leave.
