Heavy rains hit Palanga in the afternoon: some vacationers “bathed” on the beach

Climate change in Lithuania did not beat Palanga, the country’s most popular tourist center. Tourists still waiting to sunbathe by the sea on Tuesday afternoon were forced to change their plans.

Although the sun was still a little warm in the morning, the sky was heavy around noon. Soon people began to walk away from the Palanga Bridge with a feeling of the approaching rain, and Jonas Basanavičiaus Street, which attracts most tourists, emptied.

However, some failed to get out of the beach in time, some of those who unintentionally bathed ran to hide in the beach cafes.

It is true that soon, in about half an hour, the rain decreased.

Similar weather is forecast on Wednesday: strong winds from the southwest, with gusts of 15-18 m / s in some places, and temperatures of 18-23 degrees during the day. We will receive brief rains in most of the country.
