“It is a very unpleasant situation, which has led to the planned opening of the city’s central square being postponed,” the municipality of the Širvintos district announced on Facebook.
A human error has been reported: the “Širvintos šiluma” tower ran over a fountain in the center of the square, the surface of which was broken.

Virginijus Sarpauskas, a member of the opposition Širvintos District Council, wondered if such an event did not reveal the poorly done work.
