On Friday, President Gitanas Nausėda met with company executives, who presented a strategic plan for the next five years and approved 641 million. investment project, according to the report of the Presidency.

“The successful implementation of the new investment project will further strengthen our connection, improve the efficiency of the company and contribute to the economic development of the region. I hope that in the near future the company will make all possible efforts to achieve the best way to operate. ecological and sustainable ”, said the president.

It is stated that the investments are aimed at a more efficient recycling of the products, which would contribute to a greater competitiveness of the company and the global reduction of pollution.

According to the country’s head, it is commendable that the company is already planning scenarios to expand its range of products and invest in renewable energy projects. The company’s work in areas such as green hydrogen production is important to Lithuania.

The President discussed with company representatives the strategy and future action plans that contribute to the objectives of the Green Course and the Climate Policy. According to company representatives, the investments will make it possible to produce more refined oil from less crude, thus reducing pollution at the Mažeikiai plant.
