For the news portal lrytas.lt Valery said that while driving from the north to the city of Nazare, the entire company stopped along the way – he saw the beautiful city of Braga, which was decorated with colorful houses.
“We were late, I still had an incident with the phone … But we decided to have a snack in Braga, because if we had come to Nazar, no one would have worked at that time,” Valery said.
He and his friends stopped at a seafood restaurant, which lasted about an hour. They parked the car in a highly visible and lighted parking lot.
“We ate deliciously and were in a great mood when we left the restaurant. But when we got to the car, I saw that the glass on the driver’s side mirror was broken. I was still thinking, I did not break and I realized it while driving somewhere, “said the stylist.
A little later, he remembered all the famous stories of car thieves in Portugal. Not only has Valery read these stories online, but he has also heard them from close friends who have been robbed more than once.
“I ran to the trunk immediately; when I opened it, I saw that there was no suitcase. The rear seats were lowered, which means that the thieves were positioned in the front. In the back there were two more backpacks, mine and my friends, ”Valerijus said.
The company was quick to call the police immediately: everyone went to the compound, where they completed the necessary documents.
“They spoke very bad English. I called a friend who lived in Portugal. We did everything we had to do at the time. I drove back home. I slept very badly, I don’t understand how people can do that. How is it possible to rush into a stranger’s car … “- the man did not hide his sadness.
Following the incident, V. Gigevičius contacted the owner of the rental car, who was not surprised by such an arrogant robbery.
He immediately said that he had broken a small glass by the mirror, which turned out to be a classic. And how to deal with all that?
Valery’s vacation has not even been cut in half: his friends have just arrived in Portugal, where they will be spending a week. Then you will fly to Barcelona and from there to Nice. Valery estimates that he has suffered a loss of about 4,000 euros.

It is important not to get stuck in a black point because if that happens, you will not see beautiful things. We are in a beautiful, warm place. It is important that we have money, personal documents, all the cards … ”, said Valerijus.
