Specialist Sandra Budreikienė, who compiled the list of objects to be visited and submitted them to the Panevėžys District Municipal Council for approval, states that after officially recognizing these objects as tourist, it would be possible to apply to the Lithuanian Highway Administration for the permission to install and consult them. They are as bright on a brown background as they are visible when traveling in Lithuania and there are already many in the city and Panevėžys district.

According to S. Budreikienė, the existing links were installed with EU funds and the new ones would be built with the money that the district expects to receive from the management. Signs leading to unmarked landmarks in the area should appear in about a year.

Instead of Radviliškis – to Radviliškis

In the list of places of interest in the Panevėžys district, the largest number – 13 – is in the Krekenava old town. Among them: Krekenava Basilica, Ustron Book Carrier Museum, Regional Park Visitor Center, Observation Tower, Moon Stone Park, Žibartoniai Chapel. From now on, there will be two new, already official attractions in this region: the Linkaučiai Village Sculpture Park “Duonos kelias” and the Radviliškės Village Bakery located there.

Its owner, as well as Albinas Kisielis, the creator of the Linkaučiai village sculpture park “Bread Road”, is delighted that two excursions were recently taken every day to educational classes at the bakery. Tourists are offered to get acquainted with the path of bread depicted in the wooden sculptures from sown grain to baked bread, and then they start baking the bread themselves and return home with their loaves.

“We get a lot of visitors, but not many people are impressed with how difficult it is to find Radviliškis, and the navigation available by a frequent driver also led to Radviliškis,” said A. Kisielis.

Also, upon reaching Radviliškis, travelers still have to ask the locals where that bakery is. As a result, the district municipal administration was contacted to coordinate the installation of a link.

The list of 7 places of interest in the famous Karsakiškis chapels – Sodeliai, Bygailiai, Bikiškės, Naujikai, Palaukiai, Žiliškiai and Tiltagaliai – has been supplemented with another. So far, no road has been indicated to the only Eglė toy museum in Miežiškės, which has been in operation in Lithuania for eight years.
