Panevėžys County Chief Police Station Officers, who worked intensively and painstakingly, organized and conducted more than 60 searches in six counties in one day in June.
More than 100 police officers, state tax inspectors, officials from the State Veterinary and Food Service of Panevėžys, Utena, Vilnius, Alytus, Marijampolė, Klaipėda, Šiauliai participated in the operation.
Documents, notes, phones, computers and media were found and seized during the search, possibly receiving more than 90,000 euros for the crime.

On the day of the operation, an illegal meat production shop was discovered, operating in violation of veterinary requirements, storing meat and producing its products in unsanitary conditions.
The complaints were made against ten people and they were arrested. The pre-trial investigation is carried out in accordance with article 220 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. “Incorrect presentation of income, earnings or assets”, Art. 222 Fraudulent accounting, Art. 300 “Forgery of a document or possession of a falsified document”. The maximum penalty for these crimes is imprisonment of up to 8 years.
