According to the latest polls carried out by Baltic Research on behalf of Elta, the number of people in favor of the president of the Seimas has decreased by 7 percentage points since the end of May. However, V. Čmilytė-Nielsen stated that qualifications are a secondary matter.

When asked if he was thinking about running for president, V. Čmilytė-Nielsen emphasized that it was too early to think about the presidential election. “It is too early to talk about it.
