Shrouded in uncertainty, the next season of the Chinese Basketball League (CBA) is likely to play out as usual, with the Shanghai Sharks already forming the big three.

Sportando’s Emiliano Carchia reports that Sharks will have three NBA players: Jimmer Fredette, Jamaican Franklin and Noah Vonleh.
Fredette played for the Sharks club for all four seasons when he played in China: 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019. and in the previous 2020-2021. season.
Last year, the defender scored 26.9 points (40 percent trit.), 5.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists in the Chinese championship.
Franklin, 30, has used the Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets in the past, and has been playing in China from 2014-2015. season.
Last season, he represented the Shanxi Loongs Club, which averaged 24.8 points (39 percent trit.), 8.2 grabs and 9.4 assists per game.
Vonleh, then 26, has spent his entire NBA career so far. He wore jerseys for the Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Nuggets and Brooklyn Nets.
He appeared on the Nets only four times last season and didn’t earn a point.
Vonleh’s best season was 2018-2019, when he played 68 games with the Knicks, during which he recorded statistics of 8.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
