The Lithuanian team will start on Saturday at the European Men’s 3×3 Basketball Championship to be held in Paris, France.
Lithuanians in group C in the first round 18:13 defeated Austria. At the start of the match, the Lithuanians got stuck in attack and scattered just 4 points in the middle of the match (4: 7). However, in the second half of the match, the bag “came off” for the Lithuanian snipers and our team not only eliminated the deficit, but also built up a more solid lead (13: 9). In the penultimate minute after a successful Austrian stage, the Lithuanian lead was reduced to a minimum (14:13). Then a major shot was hit Šarūnas Vingelis (15:13). The Austrians then made a mistake, or Aurelijus Pukelis brought the Lithuanians closer to victory with a difficult pitch (16:13). For the rest of the time, the Austrians no longer regained their intrigue.
In the second round, the Lithuanians lagged behind in almost every match, but at the end of them they managed to eliminate the 5-point lead and finally 21:19 broke the host of the French team.
Vingelis led the Lithuanians forward, but the French responded with three straight points (3: 1). A.Pukelis stood out from afar (3: 3), but the French took the lead in their hands for the first 3 minutes and led 8: 4. Although the French were always ahead, the Lithuanians managed to reduce their lead to one ( 11:12) thanks to the long casts. The French managed to regain the lead of 5 points (18:13), but the Lithuanians did not give up and scored 3 points in a row and returned the intrigue (16:18). 2 minutes ago, Lithuania broke out for the first time in this match 19:18. With a score of 20:19, the French took the victory with a long shot, but the ball simply went off the goal and gave the Lithuanians a chance. Š.Vingelis caused a foul and joined the penalty line and snatched the victory from the Lithuanian team.
After taking first place in group C, the Lithuanians will face second place in group A with the Ukrainian team in the quarter-finals, while the second remaining French will be the winner of group A, Serbia.

The championship was attended by 12 teams, divided into 4 groups of 3. The top 2 teams from each group reached the quarterfinals. All playoff games will be played on Sunday.
After the group stage, Belgium, Slovenia, Austria and Israel finished the championship.
Lithuanian men’s 3×3 basketball team twice – 2014 and 2019. – won bronze at the FIBA 3×3 European Championship. 2019 the Serbs were proclaimed champions and the French won silver.
