After reconsideration, the Vilnius City Municipality did not issue a permit for the planned demonstration of the Lithuanian Family Movement near the Seimas on September 10. The municipal administration alleged that the permit had not been issued due to the excessive number of participants in the accesses to the Seimas, the intelligence warnings about the greater probability of violent attacks during the protests and the request of the neighboring institutions not to disturb the work.
The organizers of the demonstration appealed this decision to the court.
