After midnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, a message was received from the police on the Pušku firewall of the SBGS Vilnius border team. Border guards learned that an 81-year-old resident of the Ignalina district had not returned home to go home because of mushrooms.
A security guard and an SBGS cynologist with a service dog were immediately dispatched to search for the grandmother for her alleged disappearance. After searching the wooded area and surroundings near the woman’s residence, the team did not find it. The three-hour search was hampered by darkness and adverse weather conditions.
The search for the missing border guards landed again Wednesday morning when it was lit up. This was done by a group of SBGS officials and a dog handler with a service dog, as well as the woman’s relatives and surrounding residents. A drone used by border guards was used to scan the area from the air.
A disaster bike was found in a tree-covered field. It was a sign that he was moving in the right direction.

Shortly after exploring the area from the drone and thus coordinating the search team’s actions, Grandfather himself was found missing. He was conscious and explained to the border guards that he had spent the night lost under the trees, hiding from the dargana.
The residents of the Ignalina district did not need medical help.
The straight line from the town where the woman lives to the place where she was found is approximately one kilometer.
The missing mushroom was brought home by SBGS officials.
