“How to make it clean, beautiful, without problems for the police or the participants”, commented R. Grinevičius before the meeting in the LNK municipality.
But that there will be no violence, he says, cannot be guaranteed.
“And can you guarantee that you won’t have an accident today while driving in Vilnius? Question by question. It does not guarantee it ”, said the interlocutor.
The fact that such a protest is being organized has become widespread. Some already want to talk.
“I will take the opportunity not to wait for September 10th. Who built Grybauskaitė for the presidents? Journalists. I will show you a photo showing me Trump (former president of the United States – aut.p.). I have a ten-year mandate, ”says the passerby, stopping before the microphones placed by the journalists.
However, the Vilnius Municipality decided not to issue a permit for the September 10 protest.
“It just came to our knowledge then. Permission is requested for up to 15 thousand people and we see that physically in that area many people just don’t fit in. The safe distance to the Seimas is 75 meters,” argued Adomas Bužinskas, deputy director of the municipal administration .

R. Grinevičius, the head of the “Family Movement”, calls it a society hearing and promises to go to court.
“It just came to our notice then. We will decide. Maybe we will meet before September 10,” R. Grinevičius told LNK.
Another “protester” Artūras Orlauskas says the protest will still take place.
“If the rally is not authorized, it is a violation of the law and we do not recommend anyone to do so,” A. Bužinskas commented at the press conference.
The municipality had not issued a permit for the “Family Movement” protest in June, but several hundred people still gathered, indicating that there were many pickets for several dozen people.
The “protesters” then sued the municipality for the unexcused permit and won it.
“If the court looks different, it is free to decide otherwise,” said A. Bužinskas, a representative of the municipality.
One of the arguments of the municipality is unsafe. On Monday, the Department of Homeland Security (SSD) issued a report that protests in Lithuania were turning dangerous and the likelihood of violence had increased.

“We have decided that we cannot take responsibility for both the safety of the officers and the safety of the remaining residents of Vilnius,” explained A. Bužinskas.
The SSD has pointed out that these events have recently attracted supporters of political extremism, supporters and perpetrators of the Kremlin and Minsk regimes.
Sheriffs say all protests are dangerous.
“What the SSD said here is in ordinary textbooks. There is nothing new here “, assured R. Grinevičius.
On Monday, the “protesters” handed their demands to the president of the Seimas Viktorija Čmilyte-Nielsen. When asked about them, one of the ruling leaders, Aušrinė Armonaitė, is responsible in the same way as Ingrida Šimonytė before.
“There will be other elections, you can choose differently,” A. Armonaitė told reporters after visiting the Registration Center.
As they are also protesting against the passport of opportunity, the “protesters” spoke with V. Čmilyte-Nielsen outside yesterday. The Seimas did not let him in, the Vilnius municipality let him in.
“Mr. Grinevičius, that I remember, was wearing a mask. That would be from me,” added A. Bužinskas.
