The singer said that she always carries bitters with her. This time he felt a little bad, so he took a couple of sips as he drove. According to him, this determined the results of the breathalyzer. He has had a driver’s license since 1980 and has not been prosecuted for driving under the influence of alcohol during that time.
The car he was driving belongs to a printing company. The vehicle was returned to the owner after the incident. Bubnel said he drank most of his alcohol two hours before police stopped him.
Bubnel said he was administratively punished for speeding and illegal parking. The man asked the court to release him from the bail bond because he is a pensioner and the pension is 375 euros. He also added that he is a singer, but no concerts were held during the pandemic.
Mr. Bubnel said that when the concerts began, he would have a great need for the right to drive a vehicle, as he did not have the opportunity to hire a driver.

The SAAB car was seen at an intersection and stopped. Upon reaching the car, it was clear from the documents filed that R. Bubnelis was driving the car. The smell of alcohol spread from his mouth when he communicated with the driver and his speech was incoherent.
The driver presented his driver’s license and explained that he had been drinking vodka for two hours. After a breathalyzer test, the first puff at 9:49 pm It was found 2.34 per thousand drunk, with a second hit at 10:01 pm Drunkenness of 2.23 per thousand was determined.
The recordings made with video cameras held by the officials were reviewed in court. They hear Bubnel ask if he was driving badly and the officer responds badly. The singer says “thank you”.

Court verdict
The Vilnius Regional District Court ruled that R. Bubnelis could be released from criminal responsibility on bail. Therefore, the criminal proceeding was dismissed. A guarantee period of 1.5 years without deposit has been established.
The punitive measure imposed on R. Bubnel is the prohibition of exercising the special right to drive all types of vehicles for 1 year and 8 months. As the car was owned by SAAB, it was decided not to impound it.
However, according to the court’s decision, an amount corresponding to the value of the vehicle – 710 euros – must be recovered from R. Bubnel. It was explained to the famous singer that if he commits a new criminal offense or negligence offense within a period of 1.5 years, the court may revoke the decision to exonerate him of criminal responsibility and decide on the criminal responsibility of that person for all acts committed.
This judgment could be appealed to a higher court within 20 days of the delivery date, but, as already mentioned, Mr. Bubnel did not exercise this right.
