“Yesterday afternoon, after feeling a slight weakness, symptoms of a runny nose and a cough from this and the result, I decided to check and test for COVID-19. Unfortunately, the response was positive … “, – writes the mayor of the port city on Facebook.

V. Grubliauskas writes that although the complete vaccination schedule was vaccinated four months ago and followed all the recommendations, the coronavirus was even stronger.

“I am absolutely convinced that it is the vaccines that ensure a sufficiently easy form and course of the infection, although … it attracts me to bed, it is also true.

So I do not hesitate to say unconditionally that only a vaccine can help prevent an insidious infection, and only the vaccine definitely facilitates the form and course of the disease. I will not hesitate to take this opportunity as soon as people in my age group receive their third dose of the vaccine after illness.

There are no insurmountable viruses, but there are still many that are insurmountable, so think and do not doubt the benefits, the necessity and the meaning of the vaccine. Stay healthy, protect yourself and others, ”writes Klaipėda Mayor.

The day before announcing that he was infected with the coronavirus, the mayor worked: he attended the LGBT + “Colors” conference dedicated to the prevention of bullying at the Amberton Klaipėda hotel.

Last day, 396 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Lithuania, seven people died from this infectious disease, six of them were not vaccinated, the Statistics Department reported on Sunday.
