Errors include both the space-saving washing machine and improper lighting

On the other hand, to save space and keep as much empty space as possible, according to J. Paškevičiūtė, it is now also possible to choose modern solutions. For example, abandon the hanging or built-in cabinets, choosing instead demolished niches in the wall with shelves inside: from the smallest for shampoos and various cosmetics, to the largest, where towels or other hygiene items are hung.

The architect also says that it is not necessary to immediately decide the fate of the washing machine. In order to preserve as much space and aesthetics as possible, this appliance can be built not necessarily in the bathroom, but moved to other spaces, such as a closet, wardrobe or even embedded in kitchen cabinets.

He also advises choosing wide-format tiles instead of small ones, which help to avoid the effects of excess seams and water in them, which damage the aesthetic appearance of walls or floors over time. According to J. Paškevičiūtė, light and correctly selected mirrors create no less a feeling of coziness and comfort in the bathroom.

“The more natural light there is in the bathroom, the more comfortable it will be. However, if there is no natural source, you should carefully consider investing in good artificial lighting. If there is not very little light in the bathroom, the visibility when looking in the mirror will decrease significantly, the shadow may start to fall, and it will stimulate tension in the vision. It should be remembered that the lighting reflected directly from the mirror is not correct either. In order not to dazzle or distort the image, it is recommended to choose mirrors as large as possible, and to install lighting on their sides ”, says the architect.

The luxurious design of the shower cubicle is not everything

“Cleanliness in the bathroom is one of the basic rules, which is why the choice of ceramic in this place is especially important.
