Vytautas Labeckas, General Director of Security Services at UAB Ekskomisarų biuras, has already told Delfi about the merchants who apply to the company and are asked to increase the number of security guards who will check in large supermarkets if everything whoever wants to enter has a passport.

He said that, among other details, it was also clear what the new inspection procedure would look like.

As said, everything could happen quite simply. A security guard or several would be standing at the door of the supermarket or store, scanning the passports of those who want to enter with a smartphone.

“There are customers today who also have automatic inspection doors, but there will be units. There are definitely no such doors at the entrances to large supermarkets, and there is no other quick and inexpensive solution to check (other than check with the smartphone editor) to this day, “he said.

As he said, a closer look at the legislation shows that verification of an identity document would not be mandatory in all cases. You might be asked if there is a greater suspicion that the passport of opportunity is for someone else.

“If we have any doubt that a person’s age or gender is not the same, then we will ask you to prove it,” said the manager.

He assured that he agreed that it would be necessary to work very quickly on the verification of passports and other documents at the entrances to avoid queues.

“The queues shouldn’t be big. Everything would happen quickly, you can access it, you scan everything,” said V. Labeckas.

The exact number of security personnel that would be needed at an entrance, he said, would depend on visitor flows.

“If there are a lot of people, someone will come to the rescue. But to this day, we think more of one person in a doorway,” he explained.

It is true, the manager warned that those who do not want to enter supermarkets with their passport should not be fooled, because the consequences will await them.

“I see there are people on Facebook who submit their passport photos of opportunity, allowing others to use it.

Vilius Makauskas, director of Delfi, explained how the security and collection company UAB Eurocash1 will check the opportunity passport.

“Today we plan to combine technological solutions with physical protection.

We look for technological opportunities to facilitate and expedite the verification of the opportunity passport using not only human resources, but also technology, ”he said.

Delfi recalls that some time ago the government decided that without the possibility of a passport, it will be possible to buy essential items in stores only if the sales area of ​​the store is less than 1,500 square meters. subway.

It is planned that the inspection at the entrances to the supermarket will be carried out by security guards.
