Edward and Agnė’s love story began six years ago when would-be newlyweds attended the same school. Still, their closest bond was later established when the two came together with common interests.
“I’m older and we weren’t very familiar at school. We only get together in the future. At the time, she was working in television, leading the Music Nails of the Year event. It was a night where we talked and got in touch, ”Edward recalls.
When asked if it was love at first sight, the musicologist says it was more of a sense of admiration.
“Well, maybe it was an admiration at first. A feeling that was just like love ”, says E. Šumila about the first acquaintance.
Edward, who befriended Agne for many years, admits that he had to endure certain tests as well. The musicologist had gone to America and the girl stayed in Lithuania.
“I lived in New York for two years. Our relationship was at a distance, but we managed to do everything, we did it without great turbulence ”, laughed E. Šumila.

When asked when the couple got engaged, Edward also said so before the trip. As a result, the wedding plans have been carried out for a while.
“We were committed before I left, but those plans were quite difficult to implement. The quarantine allowed me to stop and reflect for a while. Although that time was volatile for planning, it gave us a great boost at the beginning of family life,” he reveals.
But the planning seems to have paid off. Edvardas and Agnė decided to exchange gold rings on the beautiful Vilnius St. street in the Church of the Apostles Philip and James. It turns out that this is where their close friend, the priest Mindaugas Lapšinskas, married them.
“He is our dear friend. Such an educated clergyman and interested in art. And that place in Vilnius is just as good for us, because we live here ourselves, a lot of people close to us.
Some family members in Kaunas, but also many close people here. Therefore, they could come to celebrate. And then we will go to Panemunė. There is the land of the Agnė family, it is more convenient for them to participate in the celebration “, 15 minutes E. Šumila said.

By the way, the director Ričardas Šumila, who kept his back to the life of his brother, and this time participated in the most important day of his life for Edward: he and his wife Radvile became his witnesses.
After wondering what rings the newlyweds wore, Edward said they were aesthetic in this regard.
“Our rings look pretty simple, there is no sophistication, just the fact that my ring is white and Agnė’s yellow,” he smiles.
Edvardas and Agnė are taking a bold step in their married life. They spend a lot of time together. So, as the musicologist himself says, marriage shouldn’t change anything drastically.

“I’m alone all morning. Somehow he had to be with me. It seems to me that when the holidays approach, that emotion disappears, you know what and why you are doing, or you do not know what you are doing. However, it was too close to get excited ”, E. Šumila revealed her mood just before the wedding.
So far, the couple is not considering the honey copy too much. Anykščiai should remain the main plan and, in the future, perhaps the continents on the other side of the Atlantic.
“Certainly one day there will be, but now the actual honeymoon trips will probably not be organized, there are too many things around.” 15 minutes opened by a musicologist.
