Several hundred border rapists at the Rūdninkai landfill are responding to incoming journalists and demanding freedom. Complains illegally about living conditions.

“Very bad. We only eat once a day. In 24 hours, they only gave one meal. This is the first. Second, we cannot sleep normally. 500 of us and 200 of our beds,” says an illegal.

It is true, according to the Ministry of the Interior, yesterday and today not 500 but 380 migrant men moved. Newcomers also show what kind of water they have to drink: “Is it for people? Can people drink that water? Matote? We drink this type of water. We don’t have water. “

The migrants and the food complain: “Today they gave us fish and bread. The first day gave something good. We used to eat chicken, poor chicken. “

Border guards ensure that the officials guarding the area do not even speak to them. And he shows how it works: “You don’t care because we are not human. We are animals. That’s how it is. “

It is true that migrants at the same time claim that the biggest problem is not food, but the fact that Lithuania considers them closed and does not allow them to go where they want. The Interior Ministry explains that the accusations of the migrants are exaggerated.

The representative of the Minister of the Interior, Lina Laurinaitytė-Grigienė, says: “Both yesterday and today, water was brought to the migrants. They didn’t use what’s there. It may be, for example, exhausted and not delivered right away, but it is certainly not the case that they cannot drink. For some logistical reasons, I agree that there may be outages, but we make sure they get clean, cold water in the here and now. “

According to the representative of the Minister, there is no shortage of food for asylum seekers: “I would not agree with the quantity, maybe the food was served a little late, not immediately after arrival. We also understand the discontent of migrants. But you know, they are not happy with the food in many places, not just in this camp. “

“If this country wants us to be here, it is not a problem. But not in such conditions. We are not animals,” says an illegal man.

After seeing and hearing the discontent of the migrants, in the afternoon the Ministry of the Interior decided to take out insurance and sent a water cannon to the landfill. In the words of the minister’s representative, “to cool men in hot weather if the blood accidentally boils.” It is only a preventive measure. In the near future, the government intends to temporarily house 800 illegal immigrants in Rūdninkai.
