Vilnius welcomes more than half a thousand Vilnius graduates

To get so many hundreds, the people of Vilnius needed not only constant work, exceptional knowledge, skills, but also success. In Vilnius certificates of maturity, one or more hundred are entered for up to 549 graduates.

This year, 115 graduates displayed exceptional talents and received more than two hundred. Last year, 114 graduates graduated from the school with two hundred or more.

“The goal of the Vilnius education system is to develop creative, courageous and life-ready personalities. I am happy and proud of another generation of graduates who have shown excellent results, ”said Mayor Remigijus Šimašius.

Getting 96 or 100 points is not a big difference: the graduates turned out very well, which is why Vilnius congratulates everyone and especially those who were surprised this year.

The fact that education and the question of its future in Vilnius is one of the priority areas also contributes to the excellent results. In a discussion that took place in June in Lukiškės square with representatives of the Ministry, the Seimas, parents and the educational community, it was discussed what the future Vilnius school should look like, how stimulating teachers should be, how inspiring, confident and creative. environments that students would like. For several years, a creativity ambassadors program has been successfully started and continued in the capital, which is a value and is successfully disseminated through examples of how it works at school. According to the program’s developers, teachers are the ones most in need of empowerment, because they are often shy to experiment and step outside the framework of their discipline. The discussion is summed up: let’s be champions, because a good infection is spreading.

This year, 1 Vilnius city graduate of Vilnius Mykolas Biržiška Gymnasium received 500, 15 graduates received 15 graduates, 3 hundred – 27, 2 hundred – 72.

Up to 17 Vilnius schools can be proud to have graduated, which amassed two or more hundred by passing the maturity exams: Public Institution Modern School Center (400), Vilnius Abraomas Kulvietis Classical Gymnasium (100), Vilnius Antakalnis Gymnasium (200), El Vilnius Gabija Gymnasium (300), Vilnius Jesuit Gymnasium (900), Vilnius Lyceum (3500), Vilnius Mykolas Biržiška Gymnasium (2600), Vilnius Pilaitė Gymnasium (100), Vilnius Simonas Daukantas Gymnasium (400), Vilnius Sofia Kovalevskaya Gymnasium (100), Vilnius St. Jonas Paulius II Gymnasium (300), Vilnius Užupis Gymnasium (100), Vilnius Vasilijus Kačialovas Gymnasium (300), Vilnius Vytautas Magnus Gymnasium (300), Vilnius Continent Gymnasium (200), Gymnasium Vilnius Žirmūnai (16 hundred), Vilnius Žvėrynas Gymnasium (1 hundredth).
